President and His Wife

Pastor Marvin Byers is the president of Hebron Ministries. He was born again in 1949 when he was five years old, and he began to share God’s Word at the age of 20. His wife, Barbara, was born again in 1946 and has been a faithful contributor to Pastor Byers’ ministry for over five decades.

Pastor Byers specialized in chemistry at the University of Michigan. Afterward, he was an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP). While he was studying chemistry at the University, he met his wife, Barbara, who was then an executive secretary. They married in 1965.

Pastor Byers has worked in the ministry since 1962. He and his wife have pastored and ministered in different countries including the United States, the Philippines, Israel, and various countries of Latin America and Africa.

Between 1966 and 1969, both of them studied theology in Elim Bible Institute, in Lima, New York. There, they received the teaching of men of God who were submerged in the river of the Holy Spirit that flowed powerfully in the Church during the revivals that occurred at the beginning and middle of the 20th century.

In 1978 they took up residence in Guatemala, Central America, where they ministered for more than 26 years.

Currently, the Byers live in Canton, Texas, and dedicate their time to prayer, writing books, and teaching courses at Hebron Ministerial Institute. They also travel to different countries to give seminars and spiritual covering to Hebron Ministries, which is an international fellowship of churches, ministerial institutes, and missions.
