 General Admission Requirements

  • Applicants must have been born again through a personal experience with Jesus Christ and have had a good testimony in the eyes of their spiritual leaders.

  • They must meet the minimum age requirements for resident students and non-resident students (see below).

  • They must know the order of the books of the Bible from memory and have read the Bible completely through at least one time.

Additional requirements for non-resident student application

Besides the requirements listed above, if a student would like to be admitted as a non-resident student, he must be 18 years old by the time he is admitted. This applies to both genders.

Additional requirements for resident student application

Besides the requirements listed above, if a student would like to be admitted as a resident student, he must meet the following requirements:

  1. The minimum age requirement for male admission is:

    • If he was homeschooled (not in a private school or brick-and-mortar school) during, at least, the last two years of his schooling, he must have turned 20 years old.

    • If he was not homeschooled during, at least, the last two years of schooling, he must have turned 22 years old.

  2. The minimum age requirement for female admission is:

    • If she was homeschooled (not in a private school or brick-and-mortar school) during, at least, the last two years of her schooling, she must have turned 19 years old.

    • If she was not homeschooled during, at least, the last two years of schooling, she must have turned 21 years old.

  3. The student must be involved and committed in some area of his local church, which should be noted in the application and information that the pastor sends in the confidential letter.

The Institute and the Church

HMI recognizes that God has ordained the establishment of local churches and that he loves, honors, and protects them. God’s blessing will be upon those who seek the wellbeing and edification of the local church. Therefore, Hebron respects and honors the local church and its pastor and will not usurp the pastors’ authority over the students whom they have sent to the Institute. Hebron was formed to train and prepare leaders who will submit their lives to the local church and who dedicate their lives to its edification.

Because of this, we require the applicant’s pastor to sign the HMI admission application. Furthermore, after the two-year study period, HMI insists that each student return to his local church, unless the student’s pastor feels that he should be used in another area of God’s work.
