Program

Our curriculum covers a two-year period and is offered in both Spanish and English. The institute opens the third week of February and ends the first week of November, with a one-month break in June.

HMI invites ministers who, through years of prayerful study, have permitted the Lord to cause the Word to become life in them. They have a message burning in their hearts that they can impart to the students with fervor and revelation, instead of merely sharing information from their intellect- students can discern the difference! Courses taught by those who have focused on their specific subject tend to be fresh and full of life both for the teacher and the students.

One advantage of inviting teachers to share for only one or two weeks at a time, rather than having a resident teaching staff, is that HMI can choose the teacher for the course instead of choosing the course for the teacher. When a Bible institute has resident teachers, those teachers are sometimes assigned courses that they may have never studied before.

External Marriage

If a couple who lives outside Guatemala City wants to study at HMI and has the financial means to move to the city and cover both years of study, we can help them find a house for rent. (See Scholarships).

Those who teach the courses at HMI are ministers from various denominational backgrounds who have joined Hebron Ministries because of their conviction that teachers who are ordained by God and anointed by the Spirit have been given to the universal Body of Christ and not just to their particular denomination. They are servants who have manifested the ministry of Christ in their lives and have something from God to offer to the ENTIRE Body of Christ.

We believe that the teaching of these ministers will be an eternal blessing for those who wish to extend their spiritual boundaries beyond the limits of their own sector in the Body of Christ and who open their hearts to the truth that is found in the rest of the Body. Those who teach the courses are ministers who have received a love for the truth in the Word of God. A sincere desire for the truth will lead us all, sooner or later, to the altar where prejudices and dogmas are sacrificed so that we can receive the thoughts of God’s heart. The HMI teachers have known the fire of this altar in their own lives.
